I just had my right side brakes apart on my 806 yesterday. The return springs were compressed and packed with brake dust. this wouldnt force the piston back in so it wore the pads out. just take the brakes off but leave the plate with the piston on the tractor, dont bleed fluid out of line either. this way you can see if it is retracted, if its not then look at the springs and see if they are broke or stuck. also check the adjusters to make sure they arnt bottomed out. if all is ok there, then lookat the piston assembly. if its pushed out, try to push back in, crack open bleeder to help relieve pressure. the piston could be cocked in the holder too.pinching the big oring seal. you cantry to pull piston out but use equal pull on both sides, i found rust on the piston just to the outside of the seal, this caused it not to retract also. cleaned it up with emery cloth.
