Mind, the coil could be mounted anywhere (not necessarily where the one in his photo is), but if the distributor drive otherwise appears the same, you do NOT have a magneto.
To your basic question, I don't know the setup of the Delco right-angle distributor, but you shouldn't have to "pull it out" to get to the points. Delco designed the stock battery ignition distibutor for IH and others and they're all pretty much the same. If the points and condenser aren't readily visible when the cap and rotor ar removed, It should only be a matter of three screws at most, if there are any screws at all, to pop a second, flatter cover off to access the points. If what you have resembles Bob's photo at all, the points will be under a cover that is in the same plane as the bottom of the cap.
I'm fervently hoping someody with some experience on the upright Delcos will jump in with some concrete guidance for you, but the last thing you should do is pull the upright part of the distributor body up and off the base.
