I just bought a 1947 Farmall M.After i restore it i want to know what distance to set the rear wheels at. 6 foot center to center? I also found 2 flat washers and 2 chunks of metal in the bell housing.I stuck my finger in the bell housing hole thats how they were found. A guy told me that the starter nose probably broke off years ago and they never got all the pieces out.was this a common problem with farmalls?I did get the washers out thru the starterhole. I am still working on the metal chunks.
