I don't have any idea how your soils pull but here in WC-IN we pull a 5 shank CIH/DMI 2500 inline ripper with a MX 275 (275 engine hp) and I have hit spots where it will kill the tractor before you can downshift or push the clutch in. Usally run about 12-14" deep, no-till shanks with 7" winged points.
