I am not sure what i did right, but it started. I swapped three different rotors and caps and different plug wires too. I needed to put a jumper wire on it to run power to the distributor. Evidently the ignition switch is bad. It started, but died after a minute. I put more gas in it and it restarted but ran rough until I push the choke in. Then it ran nicely. I tried to cycle the power steering and a line blew. I had to shut her down.
If I am right, someone allowed a good tractor to become stuck because of a bad Ignition switch. Time will tell. I think I will convert it to 12volts next. Thank you everyone, It was my goal to have it started today and it feels good to have gotten it done. Steve
