Howdy, Boys:
Now that the travel ban has been lifted for Americans wanting to see Cuba, it has caused me to recall stories I've heard about the place over the years. According to reporters from nations like Canada, the island still has a lot of vintage U.S. cars from the 50's prior to Castro's takeover in 1959. There have been articles and photos of numerous '55-'56-'57 chevys - even some 2-seater '55-'56-'57 T-birds.
Hmmmmm! I wonder how many Super MDV-TA's, Super A-1's and the like might still be sitting around down there on the tobacco and sugar cane farms. Probably most went to some communist scrap metal drive, but you never know. Fun to imagine. Tractors usually last longer than cars. One thing's for sure; the big U.S. collector guys didn't beat us to whatever might still be there...... at least not yet.
A buddy of mine went to Africa a few years back and said he saw several Farmall M's there - most not in running condition.
