Hey guys. I've got a brother-in law who asked if I know how to convert an H from 6V to 12V. My short answer is to get a car alternator with built-in rectifiers and voltage regulator. I've got wiring diagrams that show the field coil resistor and all that good stuff. What I don't know is what to do about the coil, points, and plugs. Is there a good source for part nos.,specs.,etc..? Can you use the original stuff and just drop some voltage with a series resistor to the coil? Thanks for any input.
