Mike, Had to remove the pully on my 450-D because the seal leaked. What I did was put the pully back on and tapped on the pully with an iron bar from the other side. A few taps on the pully and shaft came out. Took the shaft to a friend that works at an IH dealer and he put a new seal in. I think he had to pull the gear and bearing off to install the seal. Once you get the seal replaced, you can just pop it back in and tighten up the 3 bolts/cap screws. Hope this helps. Al
