No, I haven't tried that. Does the bushing slide over that center piece which I assume is round? Just wondering if I could get the bushing off and be able to get vicegrips on the center piece. While we were corresponding I thought about getting a jam nut and putting it on the right side bolt outside the support steel and trying to tighten everything up against the support steel to hold the right side bolt. Maybe washers between the inside of the support and the end of the center piece would work if the bushing slides over the center piece.
