You need to replace the counter shaft and the PTO assembly. The later style uses a spline coupler rather than a dog coupler.
The dog clutch style was used fro S/N 501 - 45613. From S/N 45614 - 117999 the spline coupler was used but the output shaft was short like the one you have on your tractor. From S/N 117800 the longer style shaft assembly was used along with a longer swinging drawbar to maintain the correct end of shaft to center of hole dimension.
