Ifn you run a loader with a spool valve, it won't matter as the pump will need to be on full time with the new spool valve handling all directional work. It will provide the up/down/holding.
Be sure and get one with a float spool. A three spool will run the boom and tilt and a remote (or 3 point). I have a 3 point as well, so I set up the tilt to be driven by the remote hoses. That way I can use the remote for bucket or implement, and it is easily switched. Four spools are expensive and harder to find, and using dual valves means extra plumbing and one has to be a power beyond unit. (Cross makes very nice valves btw)
