Mike, I have never in my life seen a paint that will hold up on a manifold, ever! High temp my butt! I did find one thing that make them look like new and wont burn off because it isn't a paint. You may have to order it from a NAPA store but the stuff is called DGF (dry graphite film spray) Spray it on and give it a light buff with a rag and WOW! even looks like raw cast iron. Bad news is you may have to respray it once a year! Give it a shot and by the way it works on squeaky things around the house too and drawer slides! Come to think of it if you have a buddy who works at a gun shop at the base I think they use it there as well.
