bc, I have given thought to a written contract of sorts. He has no heirs, and neither does his wife. They married late in life and have no children. I will talk with my tax guy about some sort of contract. Property would require all new fencing and replace a lot of posts to get ready for stockman. NOt to mention liability. He had mentioned rentingleasing to some person with horses. That is why I don't want to wait around and he make some deal with someone else. He has a fellow that maks the hay on it about once a year. Not every year though. I would not mind making the hay on it either. I need a bigger tractor to do it. The end of summer he mows it down and I guess that is the way he likes it. I bought the remainder of my grandfathers place that started out to be just over 130 acres and I ended up with only 17 after all the cousins sold the portions that were given to them. Still burns me. I have seen over the years, 9 houses go in on his land and they are all in front of me. What I have is behind me. The property I want to buy is to the side of my place. I want no more neighbors. Most are good a couple I could do without. I just don't want any more.
