Hello all, I have been off this forum for a while and now I find myself in need of some information. I have a piece of property that borders mine and the owner whom I have know all my life is getting older and he does not want to take care of it any more. 47 acres which of about half is fields. I told him I would keep it mowed and posted if he would let me have first crack at buying it when he is ready to sell. If I do this I am going to need a bigger tractor. I have a 53cub and a 50 C. Neither of which are up to the task of mowing this ground. It's by no means flat. Fellow in town has a 656 for sale. Wants around $4,500.00 for it. Diesel (282 I believe) Gear drive with TA. Have not drove it yet but he says everything works. Needs a few hoses and some wiring that I can see right off. What should I look for on this tractor. Can I find a loader for it. Tires sre good. Wheels not rotted up. Sorry for the long post. Thanks.
