As far as what was stock/correct, take your pick. 8/9/10 and even 11 inch rims were all available, with tires to fit them. It would depend on what, if anything, was actually ordered by a dealer. In the absence of a specific order, i.e., just building tractors to ship out to dealers, it may well have varied with their experience with the market they planned to ship to. In my experience, (Ohio and east) most of what I see (with a few exceptions) are 8" rims with what is now called a 9.5" tire.
