Thanks for the response, I still have a problem which is that I have some 500Kg hay bails that need to be moved. should my remaining working 454 be capable of lifting this and would it help if I put one bail on the back first, the idea being that a counter balance on the back would reduce the load on the front axel. By the way the broken 454 has the type of loader which has a heavey plate (about 3/8in thick) joining the rear mount and the front frame and I suspect this helps hold the tractor together. The other loader does not have this type of construction.
