John: As I said earlier I have never had one these pumps apart. In looking at one I would say there should be a gasget, where the two sections go together. I have never had to do repair at the resovoir and valves section either. In watching forums I consider I have been quite lucky. I have always owned at least one of these tractors for the past 40 years, 6 in total, and currently still have 3 of them. Just by law of average I am soon due.
