Glad things are coming along. One more thing I should mention is that you may find it helpful to crack the trans. drain plug open a bit to see if water comes out. Sometimes water gets in through the shift if they were left out in the rain, or even condensation can accumulate. The water builds up at the bottom and the trans oil floats on top, making it look like you have more in there than you really do. The oil (ALL of it) comes out really fast if you open the drain up too far. You could also go by color: milky oil means you have water in there. Have fun.
