Was plowing snow with my M the other day and backed it off the side of the road, had the nose up in the air, but not really high. Well the engine was making a lil noise so I shut it down. Went to restart it once I had help to pull it out of the ditch and the engine is stuck. Took 7 hours of tugging and cussing with several different vehicles before the dead M was out of the ditch. Cant turn the engine by hand or with the starter, removed the starter and cant budge it with a bar. Must have spun a bearing, hopefully since it wasnt running I didnt chew up the crank too bad, Do you think main bearing or rod bearing? Gonna drop the oil pan in a few days and take a peek...Jim
