I am still working on the governer on the 350. I pulled the covers off and found the bushing was shot on the shaft from the governer to the carb. Got that replaced. Now I am in the process of adjusting everything. At idle, the stop bolt in the governer doesnt contact like it says it should in the manual. At idle the linkage actually pushes the spring in the opp direction.(Tries to compress it). This isnt right is it? The manual says at idle there shouldnt be any tension on the spring. At idle the hooks on the spring actually push against the opp side of the hole that normally pulls on the spring. Also, is there a stop on the carb butterfly so that it cant go to far shut and not allow it to idle? Thanks
