Not exactly, you said well over $400. I said they were over $600! Granted $600 is over $400. Not even close to $400 in my book. I suppose they can get you even more bc there are less and less everyday.
Read again, I said get your current bands relined. Much much cheaper. It was about 2 years ago the PTO went outta the 450 but it only cost us about $200 to get the bands relined. If your dealer doesn't know of somebody who relines the bands let me know I can get you in touch with the folks that did the bands for our $450.
I understand. I just priced the whole new units for fun. I was just letting the folks know there was a 50% price hike over the last couple years.
I think I will take it apart someday. I don't have a decent place to do it right now. If they are riveted on I should be able to take it to a truck shop and get it relined. They do that with brake bands so it shouldn't be too tough for them.
