You might try a threaded insert if you can drill it,for ex.(in metric) if you have a 5mm hole striped out you drill and tap it to 8mm then put in your insert. The insert itself is very stout it puts me in mind of a drain plug and this gives you a more torquable more permanent fix that won't leak than a helicoil. imho mark
