Well I just split a 400 to replace the rear engine seal and it wasn't that bad. I have a dolly with jacks on each side that I bolted to the side-rails. I blocked the rear up under the inspection plate and put it in gear so that it wouldn't move when apart. Just loosen up the side rail bolts and then the two top bolts that go into the engine block. Just start backig them out and start working the front away from the rear, but leave the side rail bolts in the rails and rear engine plate after they are out of the threads. Hope this helps. It just takes some time. Keep posting your questions and we all will try our best to answer them. Jon.
