Was just wondering if anyone has tried this.
Yesterday I planted about an acre of zippercream and cream 40 peas on top of 4 hundred pounds of 10-10-10 that was put out a week ago. I very seldom fertilize peas, but this year I am trying something a little different.
We farm with a 140, set up on 44" rows. What I have done is offset the planter to the right of the draw bar so I can plant up one row and back down the same row. The offset gives me about 12" between the 2 rows of peas on one 44" row.
Basically I figured I can get twice as many peas on the same amount of ground.
Has anyone tried this and what may be some of the drawbacks.
