I just finished rebuilding engine on 47 B. I disconnected the distributor wire and turned it over for about 90 seconds, reconnected the wire and it fired right up. The oil pressure didn't come up after about a minute so I shut it down. Took the oil pressure gage off and cranked it again. Oil came out the hole. My question is, does the oil pressure take some time to come up the first time because the system has to fill, or should it come up right away? Any advice is greatly appreciated. I don't want to have to rip the pan off and mess with the pump if I don't have to. Plus, my son can't wait to take a ride around the neighborhood (I can't either, but he's my excuse for the wife). Thanks.
