We had all machine work donated, which was like $750 and alot of sponsors who donated parts, and odds and ends. The Rearend does cost alot of money. The $3500 is just an estimated amount right now, but like all projects I am sure it will cost more. The students are working thier tales off and excited to see it fire up and parade it around.
I am planning on selling to whomever would like a ticket. I know there has been a few people states, away who said if we sell small number of tickets but a larger amount per ticket they would purchase them. I guess, I do not want to overprice them for the students whom have worked countless hours on it.
