The cover is not hard to take off at all, but it is somewhat time consuming. You have to remove the fuel tank, fuel lines, throttle, choke, belt pulley, belt pulley rod...shall I go on. You could get it all done by removing the PTO and using that access point to get at the bull gear bolts etc, but on a restore job the best way it to replace all those seals bc they probably leak.
