Have a 1566 Black Stripe, Full cab and lost hydraulics. Sometimes they will come back.
Last time it seemed like it was sucking air in the system as steering and brakes were speratic and jerky, then quit all together. Shut off for 5 min and worked again for 5 minutes. Quiet till the 5 min us up, then will squeel like sucking air.
Oil level is full, actually above full. Filter was changed and bi-pass cleaned also. Rear hydraulics run off another pump and will work sometimes, and sometimes not.
Checked for water or ice in rear end, but none found. Removed valve body and found a O-ring that needed replacement, but not on the suction side and showed no signs of leaking even though it was squished out. Front pump checked out good.
Last time rear pump worked remotes and 3pt hitch, but lost front pump pressure, IE: No Steering, Brakes or Hydraulic clutch.
Thinking the pickup tube loose or bad O-ring there. Anyone have any input? How do you access this pickup tube? Parts book shows it but not the location. Maybe behind the filter assy?
