Hello, It is a gas over and the parts for them are a pain to find now. A case Dealer will have the Head Gasket set it about $190 as I just bought one for my MD. Cool tractors and a bunch of fun to run. As for a stuck valve they can be loosened sometimes without pulling head. These heads are heavy on these tractors. If it hase been sitting awhile you should probually clean carb and make sure the rack is lose in the primary pump and be sure that the lift pump is not froze up for some dumb reason or you will snap the shaft between the 2. They are fun and you will enjoy it. I have a couple MDs and a WD6 and a John Deere MC crawler I love to run all of them but something about gas overs that just make them fun.
