#1 does the starter have a solenoid or a mech start sw on the starter pulled with a rod #2 IFF it is a SUPER A it will have this type #3 the super A has a reg mounted under the generator #4 gen might have been changed and has the third brush adjusted too close the starter might be not up to par some times things are changed by some people not using correct parts the gens are different also the right reg must be used together check the no on the gen and go from there might be bad starter if the tractor runs whenever you get it started it isnt points ect do es it have a dist or a mag hard to tell what you have from the descriptoin please clearify dont sound to bad of a deal if we get it right it will work have 5As sold the SUPER A so i know what i am talking about glad to help
