If by "lawn", you mean a real lawn with grass, trees, etc, not just a bunch of weeds and wild grasses, just about any riding mower is better than a Cub because the Cub is not as agile or maneuverable. You will spend more time trimming around trees than if you used your mower for everything. The yard around my house is about 30000 sq ft. I can't imagine using my Super A and 59L mower on it, the Cub is not that much more maneuverable. As mkirsch says, if you use the Cub for anything else, the mower has to be removed. I do use mine for large unobstructed areas, where the weeds and grass are allowed to grow for a while. Remember also, for a real lawn you need turf tires.
