Wardner when I say housing I mean the die cast one the tach gear and shaft is mounted in. The distributor drive housing didn't come with the tach attachments and was purchased seperate if not already on the tractor. Best I can tell the W400 instrument shrold may not have a tach hole up to serial 1841. At 3304 another change was made. Pictured is early tach drive parts and later one. The little flat piece of metal 369693R1 next to the die cast housing 369692R1 goes in the housing slot and in the grove in shaft of tach gear and shaft 369695R91 to act as a trust stop. When die cast housing is slid in the dist. drive housing it can't get out. Metal shaft gear 369695R91 out of housing in the picture is one I modified to fit a old diecast housing. On that one I removed .034 from the first step on the shaft behind the gear end. Next step .002 removed, cable end .033 removed. Depends on the housing on whats removed. Bottom picture is die cast housing 363815R2 and gear 363816R2. R2 parts were treated and speced closer and shaft running clearance increased over R1 parts.
