Well if your going to and alt. that puts out more amps then there is more to it them just hacking into the gen wiring as it is not heavy enough . For and alt. you need a 8ga. wire and as for the one wire deals i myself will not use them . what you need is the harness for a later model 06 with and alt. and a reg . My one good friend runs a 65 706 with a gen. and it has two headlites mounted on the side of the hood and two work lites on the back and after i put halogen lites in it there is no problems seeing at night and the gen has no problems keeping up . The two halogen on the ft. are brighter then the four on my 806 .
