Are you getting battery voltage to your starter button? Use a volt meter or test lite. Is there a solenoid on this tractor? If there's no voltage coming into your starter button you need to trace the wire that feeds battery voltage to it. Could be a broken wire or bad connection. If there's voltage feeding the starter button, see if there's voltage on the terminal that feeds voltage to the starter or solenoid when you press the starter button.
If there's voltage coming into the starter button and you don't find any voltage when the starter button is depressed, your starter butter is probably defective. Hal
