1130Leo, My old 966 developed a fuel leak earlier this year, Had Fixed it and flushed it, so I thought! The inlet fills up with large pieces of rust an starves the engine for fuel and dies! My local IH Parts Man put me on to a strainer of a thing..... The inlet on the brass cut off valve has a 3/8 pipe sticking up from the threads about 1/2 inch. This strainer I am about to tell you about was sold by my dealer till IH upped the price to some ridiculous amount $70 +. where they used to be about $7 or $8. Call your local tractor wrecking yard.... You need the strainer that is inside the Head of a York AC Compressor on a 1086 IH. This strainer is about 1/2 inch in diameter and about 2 inchs long. About the size of your pointer finger! I have not gotten mine yet but my local wrecking yard guy is holding one for me. It is either that or........ use a small piece of screen wire rolled up and the top crimped off held in place by wire or a small clamp! Hope this helps, If you want to visit or If I need to explain more, hollar at me 512-577-3837. Later, John A.
