M Leaking Tran Oil

I changed the transmission oil in my '43 M. I'd checked the level, and the stuff was light brown at best, and obviously quite old. Now it's dripping the fluid from the bottom front of the transmission case, at the joint. (Must've stirred up the accumulated sludge!)

Can the seal at the input/front of the transmission be replaced without splitting the tractor? Or is there another potential source for the oil? It's definitely the transmission oil, by look, feel, smell, no I haven't tasted yet. :-)
