My son bought a IH 674 three weeks ago. It does not have much hyd pressure. Won't lift much on the 3pt or aux outlets. Won't budge a round hay bale on the 3pt. Also hard to steering. This is the first time I have been around 74 series tractors. I have always been around 560's , 06-56-66-86 series tractors. Are the hyd pumps inside the trans or accessable like the 06 thru 86 series? Guess they only have one pump that the steering runs off also? Also, what is the difference between the 674 and 684? I am guessing the hyd pump is bad or could it be something else on these tractors, O ring somewhere, control valve???
