This is a little long but I could sure use your help. My best friend bought a 504 a few weeks ago. He's not very mechanical so I end up working on all his stuff. I was cutting hay today and it was running great. He relieved me after he got off work and now it has a knocking sound in the area of the amplifier. It stops if I push the clutch completely in. I asked him how he was shifting the hi-lo and it sounds like he was jaming it into hi pretty hard. What do you think the noise is and could it be anything else like low on hydraulic oil? I dose leak a some but I dont even know where to check it or what to put in if it is low.
