If you look there should be TWO sets of openings on the valve cover. Hinged flip caps for oiling the valve train. (For the man that said they never oiled theirs maybe someone had plumbed in a pressure line?) Then there will be or at least was at one time a set of threaded Primer Cups that you can add a spoonful of gasoline for starting. Yes, you must start with gasoline and then switch to kerosene once it's hot. I use a curtain over the radiator to help with warm up. Kerosene tractors are rum hot, right up next to boiling. So when you see it chuffing out a little steam you know it's hot. I check the radiator with my hand. When the top tank gets too hot to hold my hand on it I switch over. They will start on kerosene if they are hot but if it cools off you better switch back to gasoline and start over.
