I rebuilt the Zenith carb on my Super A because it was hunting / surging. I installed the carb and now the tractor only idles. I synched the govenor rockshaft with the throttle rod and still no luck. It was a good 3 or 4 turns out of synch. I have scanned the archives and I'm heading in the direction of replacing the govenor spring. The thing that confuses me is that with the tractor not running, I can move the throttle from idle to full and the throttle rod between the govenor rockshaft and carb will move. When the tractor is running, movement of the throttle results in nothing. My question is am i headed in the right direction? Additionally, since I'll have the govenor apart, are there any other parts I should or could replace. I already plan on replacing the oil seals since they are leaky. Thanks.
