I'm the same way. Currently there is an 8 dollar muffler rain cap I'm interested in, but the guy wants $16 in shipping! I could ship that part for $3! Ridiculous.
Ebay is ok if you find the right deal with the right person. But some things get swept up by silliness. I put my old Belt Pulley up. I started it at $9.99, and hoped to get $30. I took several pictures and told folks that it had material nailed into it, so it had holes and a few nail pieces still sticking out of it. But it had nice paint.
Well, it passed $30. And some guys got swept up in a bidding war. Not including the shipping (which was right on the mark for it's weight), I got $165 for it!!! :shock:
