I puchased my grandfather's C after 20 years out of the family. It's been in a lean-to for several years. I can crank start it fairly easily. I've replaced the battery, had the starter rebuilt by a very reputible outfit (it works), and put some big guage cables on it. In addition, although the generator and regulator are still the original items, I've rewired all that--to ammeter, starter, and resistor. I cannot get the starter to so much as fart once installed on the tractor. Disconnecting the genny lead from the starter does not do any good. My understanding of the starting cicuit is the battery (+ ground), switch (new as well), and the starter. Is there anything that would interrupt or defeat the juice to the starter? HELP!!! Losing my mind.
