Brakes Hydro 186

I am replacing the o rings in the brake housing in my 186. I purchased the o rings from CaseIH. The one for the outside of the brake piston is too large. The parts books says 8 & 1/4 in. id. with no serial number breaks. My tractor has to have and 8 in. i.d. ring. Has anyone else run into this? It has my parts man stumped. The original IH number ring and the Case changeup are the same size, their i.d. is the same as my o.d.
