Im in the process of putting a water pump back on my 48 H. Its used, and Im wondering how much grease I should give it, not knowing what it got before. When I sewt it on its back/base, it growls. When I have it faceing as it should, it dosent.
You cant remove the radiator without removeing the steering post, unless u intend to take off the upper tank on the radiator. Removeing the steering post requires removeing the worm gear on it. U dont want to do that. I took the 2 bolts loose at the bottom, Well, I took loose one bolt, and one nut. Only the nuts were supposed to come off, but on one the stud bolt cake out too. I sled the radiator forward, which wasnt much, but enough to get the pump off with fan attached, minus one blade, That happened when the bearings in the fan part, parted company. I ordered one pump, and got it yesterday. But I didnt think id get it, so I got another comeing with fan which this one didnt have. Guess ill have a spare, as both are used. $50 for one without the fan from one place, and $100 from another with fan. High dollar fan lol
