So I inframed the A with new pistons, sleeves, and rod bearings. I used 2 under for the bearings and it plastiguaged about .0035 or so which is a little much but I didn't think too much out of line. The oil pressure is fine (about half on a 75psi guage at idle). However, when it gets fully warmed up I can barely keep the needle above the first line (guessing that is about 10 psi). I used mostly 10W40 with a quart or two of 10W30 oil. Could being that little over on clearance with the rod bearings be causing that much trouble? Beginning to think I should have pulled the mower out from underneath the tractor and sold the tractor while I was ahead.
