I have a question about the voltage carrying capacity of wire that seems to come into discussion a lot concerning generators,i work on high voltage lines for a living ,don't quite understand some of the theories, voltage has little to do with wire size it the amperage load that determines that case in point 30 amps at 7 kv uses the same wire as 44 kv the higher volt enables longer transmission distances without so much voltage drop
