I'll get a little windy here. I have done this more than I care to admit. If I forget something, somebody please hollar. I'm pushing 50 and my brain is fading. :( For the PERFECT Farmall H, all you have to do on each side is: 1. Remove the brake pedal return spring. 2. Unhook the brake rod yoke from the brake band arm. You will see a pin and a cotter pin/nail or something. 3. Unbolt the cover. There should be 5 hex head bolts. The cover assembly should slide off. You might have to do some wiggling to remove it. Usually the drawbar brackets are not in the way but are a nuisance. Don't tear up your fingers! 4. Inside the cover you will see the brake band assembly. If the two pins are loose (remember we are talking the PERFECT H) simply remove the pins and the old band/pad and install the new one. Note the angle on the band and make sure you install the new one the same way. You might want to take a picture before you swap them. 5. Put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
