I recently overhauled the engine on my H with new pistons and sleeves. I also had the head resurfaced and a three angle valve job done. The machine shop said they took 20 thousandths off the head. The problem I'm having is before I done anything the valve train was quiet and know that I have got it all back together I am getting a ticking noise from my rocker arms. I asked on here about a month ago what to set the clearance on the rockers at and I was told to do 20 thousandths cold on both, and I was told 17 thousandths warm on both. I have done it both ways but I am still getting the ticking. Both times I have adjusted them I have done it with the piston up and both valves closed. So am I doing something wrong or do they need to be set different?
