I never tried it, but the heads from the 235 and the 250 almost certainly will not interchange. Very different engines. The 216 was introduced in 1937, minor changes over the years and upgraded to the 235 in 1953, same basic engine. More changes in 1954, same basic engine. 1962 was the last year for the 235. The 230/250 introduced in 1963, all new design. 7 main bearings, the 216/235 had 4 mains. As best I remember, 1979 was the last year for the 230/250.
