I really don't. What I was drawing on was my experience with a Cat D6 that I ran in the logging woods up in northern New Mexico when I was back in my teens. On ours we had a lever and linkage that went up to the platform and mine broke one day and as I think back the mechanic did have to remove the winch and pulled it apart on the ground. But I do remember that when I looked at it I could see the broken shift fork. Is it a Browney or Cat Warn? Hell, I don't even remember who made the ones on that old machine. I do remember the mechanic was pi**ed because there was so much paint on it he couldn't get a socket on the head of the bolts. lol. Sorry I can't give you more without seeing the thing. LarryT
